Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Visits Lebanon

Jean-Pierre Lacroix (fourth from left), Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, on his way to visit the German frigate Brandenburg, part of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Maritime Task Force, off the coast of Naqoura, Lebanon. He is accompanied by Aroldo Lázaro Sáenz, Head of Mission and Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon.

During his visit Mr. Lacroix met with senior Lebanese officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Lebanon, UNIFIL leadership, and fellow peacekeepers. This was his last official meeting with outgoing Head of Mission and Force Commander Lt. Gen. Aroldo Lázaro Sáenz
