Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations Visits Lebanon

Jean-Pierre Lacroix (fourth from left), Under-Secretary-General for Peace Operations, meets with Nabih Berri (right), Speaker of the Parliament of Lebanon, during his visit to Lebanon and the United Nations Interim Force In Lebanon (UNIFIL).

During his visit Mr. Lacroix met with senior Lebanese officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Lebanon, UNIFIL leadership, and fellow peacekeepers. This was his last official meeting with outgoing Head of Mission and Force Commander Lt. Gen. Aroldo Lázaro Sáenz (at third from left).
