Secretary-General Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran

Secretary-General António Guterres (left) meets with Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, during the 17th Summit of the BRICS countries in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The BRICS is a group formed by eleven countries: Brazil, Russian Federation, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Iran. It serves as a political and diplomatic coordination forum for countries from the Global South and for coordination in the most diverse areas.
