Security Council Adopts Resolution on Red Sea Reporting Request

Security Council adopts Resolution 2787 (2025) on Red Sea reporting request. Recalling all its relevant resolutions on the situation in Yemen and the Red Sea, the Council extended the reporting request in paragraph 10 of resolution 2722 (2024) through January 15, 2026. The resolution was adopted with 12 votes in favour, none against and 3 abstentions (Algeria, China, Russian Federation).
