Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of July, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question. At right is Claudia Banz, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).
