High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and Implementation of Two-State Solution

Emmanuel Macron, President of the Republic of France and Co-Chair of the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, addresses the Conference (resumed).

"The recognition of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people takes nothing away from the rights of the people of Israel who France supported from Day One and to the respect of which it is staunchly committed," Macron said.

"This is why we're so convinced that this recognition is the only solution that will allow for Israel to live in peace."

The Conference will reaffirm international commitments to the two-State solution and seek to mobilize support for its implementation.

"The Conference will adopt an action-oriented outcome document entitled "Peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and implementation of the two-State solution", to urgently chart an irreversible pathway towards the peaceful settlement of the question of Palestine and the implementation of the two-State solution". The Conference is held pursuant to General Assembly resolution A/RES/79/81 of 3 December 2024 and General Assembly decision 79/573 B of 5 September 2025.
