Security Council Meets on Situation in Great Lakes Region

Vassily Nebenzia (left), Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation and President of the Security Council for the month of October, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation in the Great Lakes region. The Council heard a Report of the Secretary-General on the implementation of the Peace, Security and Cooperation Framework for the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Region. At right is Claudia Banz, Director of the Security Council Affairs Division of the Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA).
