Security Council Meets on UN Verification Mission in Colombia

Leonor Zalabata Torres, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Colombia to the United Nations, addresses the Security Council meeting on the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC).

Security Council adopted Resolution 2798 (2025) extending the mandate of the Verification Mission in Colombia until 31 October 2026. The resolution was adopted 13 votes in favour, none against and 2 abstentions (The Russian Federation and United States).
