General Assembly Meets on Strengthening of Coordination of Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Assistance

Tania Serafim Yvonne Romualdo (left), Permanent Representative of Cabo Verde to the UN, chairs the 59th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The Assembly debated a number of issues on the agenda, among them strengthening of the coordination of humanitarian and disaster relief assistance of the United Nations, including special economic assistance and strengthening of the coordination of emergency humanitarian assistance of the United Nations.
