Yusuf, Deputy Permanent Representative of the Federal Republic of Somalia to the United Nations and President of the Security Council for the month of January, chairs the Security Council meeting on the situation in the Sudan and South Sudan. The Council heard Reports of the Secretary-General on the Sudan and South Sudan.
