The International Court of Justice held a solemn sitting on 17 April in the Great Hall of Justice of the Peace Palace to celebrate the eightieth anniversary of its inaugural session. The session was held under the presidency of Judge Iwasawa Yuji, in the presence of King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands.
