General Assembly Holds 109th Plenary Meeting

The General Assembly votes on a resolution on "International Day of Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence" under agenda item sustainable development during the 109th plenary meeting of the General Assembly. The resolution decides to designate 31 August as the International Day of Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence, to be observed annually beginning in 2027. The resolution was adopted with 144 in favour, 2 against and 3 abstentions.
