Appointment of the Secretary-General of the United Nations

After having been appointed the next Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres (at podium), Secretary-General-designate, turns to applaud Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (podium left) for his work. He is joined by Peter Thomson (centre podium), President of seventy-first session of the General Assembly, and Catherine Pollard (right), Under-Secretary-General for General Assembly and Conference Management.
