South Sudan Integrated Team Visits Site of Recent Attack on Aid Workers
A convoy of protection forces from the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), together with members of the Ceasefire Transitional Security Arrangement Monitoring Mechanism (CTSAMM), visited the location where six aid workers were killed on 25 March, approximately 53 km outside the capital Juba. The integrated team, representing UNMISS Human Rights, the Joint Monitoring and Evaluation Commission (JMEC) for the South Sudan peace accords, and CTSAMM, were met by local security forces of the Anti-Poaching Unit at Bandigilo National Park. The ambush took place on the Juba-Pibor road approximately 3.4 km from Badingilo National Park.
