FAO Supports Community Farming Projects in South Sudan

A view of a school garden in the Kator area of Juba where food crops are being cultivated as part of a project supported by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO). The objective of the project is for students to apply the practices they learn at home, diversify their diets by adding vegetables to their main meals, and sell a portion of the crops at markets so the school can reinvest in agriculture next season.
