Reunification of Children and Parents Separated due to Conflict, South Sudan
The organization Nonviolent Peaceforce has been facilitating reunification of families separated by conflict in South Sudan, through a process of registration in various regions of the country.
Michael and Anna (father and mother) were separated from their children Ezekiel (17) and Nyakueny (6), at the beginning of the most recent civil conflict in South Sudan. The children went with their relatives into the Bentiu Protection of Civilians site, while the parents made their way to Juba. Here the family is reunited in a Protection of Civilians site in Juba after over two years apart.
