Press Briefing on First Annual STI Forum

Vaughan Turekian (centre), Science and Technology Adviser to the US Secretary of State and Co-Chair of the Multi-stakeholder Forum on Science, Technology and Innovation for the Sustainable Development Goals (STI Forum), speaks to journalists today about the first annual STI Forum, taking place on 6-7 June, 2016, at UN Headquarters in New York. The theme of this year's forum is ""Realizing the potential of science, technology and innovation for all to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals"". Joining him at the briefing are Wu Hongbo, Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs, and Macharia Kamau (Co-Chair), Permanent Representative of Kenya to the UN.
