UN Peacekeeping Chief Visits UNMISS Malakal Base

Hervé Ladsous, UN Under-Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, visited the Malakal Field Office of the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), on 11 June.
Here, a member of the Bangladeshi Force Marine Unit at the Malakal Base demonstrates river operations. The Unit assists in the protection of civilians and supports humanitatrian assistance by delivering food to communities on the eastern and western banks of the Nile River.
