General Assembly Holds Briefing on Syria Situation

The seventieth session of the General Assembly held an informal meeting of the plenary today to hear a briefing by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Syria, Staffan de Mistura (via video-conference), the Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, Stephen O'Brien, and the Assistant Secretary-General for Human Rights, Ivan Šimonovic.
