Secretary-General Meets Head of Polisario Front

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (centre) departs the Rabouni administrative headquarters the Polisario Front, outside of Tindouf, Algeria, where he was meeting with the Polisario's Secretary-General Mohammed Abdelaziz. He is hoping his visit will raise awareness of the dire humanitarian situation Sahrawi refugees are facing and encourage parties to the Western Sahara conflict to find a lasting and mutually acceptable resolution to the now forty-year-long discord.
