Security Council Extends UNAMA Mandate

Mahmoud Saikal, Permanent Representative of Afghanistan to the UN, addresses the Security Council at its meeting on the Report of the Secretary-General on the situation in Afghanistan and its implications for international peace and security. The Council voted unanimously (15-0) to extend the mandate of the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA).
