UN Charter Commemoration Ceremony in San Francisco

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (centre right) and his wife, Yoo Soon-taek (right) greets Libba Patterson, Mr. Ban's host mother when he he travelled to the USA in 1962 as part of the Red Cross VISTA (Visit of International Students to America) programme, as they make their way to the City Hall Rotunda in San Francisco as part of the celebration of the anniversary of the signing of the UN Charter in San Francisco on this day in 1945.
