Secretary-General Receives Elisabeth Mann Borgese Medal for Work on SDGs and Oceans

Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon (centre) poses for a group photo after receiving the Elisabeth Mann Borgese Medal from the International Ocean Institute (IOI) for his his work in launching the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the stand-alone goal on the oceans (SDG 14), concerning the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Oceans, Seas & Marine Resources for Sustainable Development.
Mr. Ban is flanked by Awni Behnam (left), IOI Honorary President, and Antonella Vassallo, IOI Managing Director, who presented him with the award at today's ceremony.
