Fortieth Anniversary of the Biological Weapons Convention Marked in Geneva

Michael Møller, Acting Director General of United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) and Acting Secretary-General of the Conference on Disarmament, speaks at today's commemorative event marking the fortieth anniversary of the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC). The event is taking place in the Council Chamber in the Palais des Nations in Geneva, the same room in which the Committee of the Conference on Disarmament negotiated the BWC from 1969 to 1971.
