Mongolian Peacekeeper Serving with UNMISS

A peacekeeper with the Mongolian Battalion serving with the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) peers through binoculars from a watch tower located within the Protection of Civilians (PoC) site in Bentiu. The POC site, which houses over 40,000 displaced persons, sprung up to shelter civilians from armed conflict, and has seen significant flooding during the rainy season. UNMISS is working with humanitarian partners and others to improve conditions in both the short and long terms.
