UNMISS Conducts Regular Patrol in Malakal, South Sudan

The UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS) conducts regular patrols through Malakal to assess the security situation, speak with residents, and show the UN's presence in the area. The patrols are also meant to acclimate local residents to the UN and its mission and mandate in the country.
Soldiers from the UNMISS Indian Battalion (IndBatt1) patrol the perimeter of the UNMISS compound in Malakal.
