Security Council Urges More Timely Elections in Lebanon

The term of Michel Sleiman ended on 25 May and the Lebanese Constitution specifies that Parliament must convene to elect a new leader before the deadline passes.
Nawaf Salam, Permanent Representative of Lebanon to the UN, listens to the Security Council meeting on the situation in his country.
