UNMAS Demonstration of Sniffer Dogs at Work in South Sudan

The UN Mine Action Service (UNMAS) holds a demonstration of the work of sniffer dogs in the Protection of Civilians (POC) camp at the Tomping site of the UN Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), in Juba. The dogs can detect weapons and explosives, and are used to screen internally displaced people (IDPs) arriving at the entrance gate, as well as to conduct random searches throughout the camp.
