UNAMID Peacekeepers on Patrol near Khor Abeche, South Darfur

Tanzanian peacekeepers serving with the African Union-United Nations Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) deployed in Khor Abeche camp for internally displaced persons (IDPs) in South Darfur, conduct a routine patrol in Karbab village, where the community reported threats by other tribes. The Mission reinforced the number of patrols in all villages around Khor Abeche, where armed men recently set fire to dozens of shelters in a camp for displaced people and stole livestock belonging to the residents.
