UN Marks World Press Freedom Day 2014: Media Freedom for a Better Future

John W. Ashe, President of the sixty-eighth session of the General Assembly, speaks at today's briefing on ""Media Freedom for a Better Future: Shaping the Post-2015 Development Agenda"" in commemoration of the World Press Freedom Day 2014 (3 May). Today's event was organized by the Department of Public Information (DPI) in cooperation with the UN Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
