MONUSCO Assists Vulcanologists at Mount Nyamulagira Crater

A helicopter from the UN Stabilization Mission in the DRC (MONUSCO) lands inside the Nyamulagira crater to pick up a team of vulcanologists after an assessment mission at the volcano which sits in the Virunga Mountains, northeast of Sake, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Nyamulagira is one of the most active volcanoes in the region and erupts once every two years.
