MONUSCO Assists Volcanologists at Mount Nyamulagira Crater

A volcanologist takes gas emission measurements during an assessment mission inside the crater at Mount Nyamulagira, a volcano in the Virunga Mountains northeast of Sake, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Nyamulagira is one of the most active volcanoes in the region and erupts once every two years.
