General Assembly Commemorates Transatlantic Slave Trade Victims
As part of its follow-up to the two-hundreth anniversary of the abolotion of the transatlantic slave trade, the General Assembly met this afternoon to commemorate the seventh International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The theme of this year's commemoration is, ""Victory over Slavery: Haiti and Beyond"".
