Students in Newly Painted Classroom at Public School in Taliko, Bamako
On 24 October, peacekeepers from the Ghana Engineering Contingent serving with the UN Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) started painting the walls of a public school in Taliko, a marginalized neighbourhood of Bamako. The work, that lasted about 10 days and that was part of UN Day celebrations, was meant to help rehabilitate the school, which had hosted tens of families displaced by heavy floods in July.
