A Day in the Life of UNAMA's Human Rights Chief

As part of a feature photo news story, the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) accompanied Georgette Gagnon, an international human rights lawyer and Director of Human Rights at UNAMA, on a recent field trip she took to eastern Afghanistan.

In this photo, a goatherd guides his flock along the main road between Jalalabad and Asad Abad, the capitals of the Nangarhar and Kunar provinces.
