Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations in Somalia

Women dressed for Eid watch as hundreds of Somalis play at Lido beach in Mogadishu on August 8. Somalia today enjoyed a peaceful Eid al-Fitr, one of the most important dates on the Muslim calendar, marking the end of Ramadan. Thousands dressed up and came out onto the streets to enjoy the holiday.
