AMISOM Health Clinic in Kismayo
A woman waits to see a doctor at a free medical clinic run by the Kenyan contingent of the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM), in the southern Somali port city of Kismayo. Open seven days a week and receiving an average of 80 patients a day from Kismayo and surrounding villages, the clinic provides free health care, treating a variety of cases including malaria, respiratory tract infections, sexually transmitted diseases and the occasional gunshot wound.
