AMISOM and Somali Troops Conduct Patrols near Baidoa

Burundian troops with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) and their counterparts from the Somali National Army (SNA) have initiated foot patrols in areas east of Baidoa, where the extremist group Al-Shabaab has mounted attacks against villages, local herdsmen and travellers along the busy Baidoa-Mogadishu road.
During a patrol, the troops prepare a truck to supply fresh drinking water to the village of Modmoday.
