Assembly Launches International Year of Quinoa

The General Assembly held a High-Level Panel discussion at the launch of the International Year of Quinoa. The Year (2013) is intended to spread knowledge and understanding about quinoa, a hardy crop with high nutritional value, and to recognize its importance to food security and poverty alleviation.
