Wide view of the Security Council during its meeting on the situation in Liberia. Karin Landgren, Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL), briefed the Council and underscored the importance of moving swiftly to address the social inequality, political infighting and other historic and current fissures that had led to decades of war.
