Memorial Ceremony for Civilian Colleagues in UNMISS

Hilde Johnson, Special Representative of the Secretary-General for South Sudan and Head of the UN mission in South Sudan (UNMISS), writes a remembrance during a memorial ceremony for the seven civilians-two national staff and five contractors-serving with UNMISS who lost their lives when their convoy was ambushed in Jonglei State on 9 April 2013. Five Indian peacekeepers were also killed in the attack.
