Security Council Extends Interim Security Force in Abyei

The Security Council unanimously adopted resolution 2104 (2013), extending the mandate of the United Nations Interim Security Force for Abyei (UNISFA) until 30 November. It also decided to increase the 4,200-strong troop presence in the contested border town to 5,326 peacekeepers, as requested by Sudan and South Sudan.
