UNAMID Builds Classrooms in Um Baro, North Darfur
A group of students in front of old classrooms that have been partly destroyed by weather, at the Secondary School for Boys in Um Baro, North Darfur. The African Union – United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) took on a project in March 2013 to build new classrooms for some 700 students, as some of the classrooms in the school had been deteriorating since they were built in 1969. The project was implemented by the civilian police.
