UNAMID Builds Classrooms in Um Baro, North Darfur
Students enter one of the two new classrooms built by the African Union – United Nations Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) at the Secondary School for Boys in Um Baro, North Darfur. UNAMID took on the project in March 2013 to give some 700 students a better space to learn, as some of the classrooms in the school had been deteriorating since they were built in 1969. The project was implemented by the civilian police.
