Marka General Hospital, Somalia

Medical staff from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the UN Children's fund (UNICEF) assessed Marka General Hospital's facilities and general working conditions. In particular, both organizations were responding to several reported cases of cholera and dengue fever. While one suspected case of cholera still remained, all other patients suffering from the two diseases had already been treated and discharged from the hospital, eliminating the need for further immediate intervention.
