Special Envoy Meets with Syrian President

Kofi Annan (centre left), Joint Special Envoy of the United Nations and the League of Arab States for Syria, meets with Bashar Al-Assad (centre right), President of the Syrian Arab Republic, in Damascus. Also at the meeting is Major General Robert Mood (left of Mr. Annan), Chief Military Observer and Head of the UN Supervision Mission in Syria (UNSMIS) and Walid Al-Moualem (right of Mr. Al-Assad), Minister for Foreign Affairs of Syria.
