Panel on HIV and the Law

Fernando Henrique Cardoso (on screen), Former President of Brazil and Chair of the Global Commission on HIV and the Law, addresses a panel discussion on ""HIV and the Law: Bringing the Law Closer to the People"" via videolink. Additional panellists include, from the left: Barbara Lee, member of the Global Commission on HIV and the Law; Michel Sidibé, Executive Director of UNAIDS; Deputy Secretary-General Jan Eliasson; Helen Clark, Administrator of UNDP; and Festus Gontebanye Mogae, Former President of Botswana.
The Global Commission on HIV and the Law released a report today which finds evidence that governments around the world have wasted the potential of legal systems in the fight against HIV.
