AMISOM's First Formed Police Unit Arrives in Mogadishu
A 140-member Ugandan formed police unit serving with the African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) recently arrived in Mogadishu to support the Somali Police Force (SPF) in maintaining law and order in the capital. They will also conduct joint patrols in and around camps for internally displaced people as part of AMISOM's efforts to stabilise the country's security situation.
