MINUSTAH Sponsors Irrigation Project in Haiti

A field of corn grows thanks to the newly constructed irrigation system that pulls water from a nearby river.
The United Nations Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) has financed a project in the central plateau area of Haiti allowing for the construction of two fish farms, 300 meters of irrigation canals, and 500 meters of packed earth irrigation canals, which resulted in a greater yield of agricultural products in the region.
