MINUSTAH Sponsors Irrigation Project in Haiti

A family gathers in front of their home in the central plateau area of Haiti near the city of Mirebalais.
The United Nations Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) has financed a project in this area of Haiti allowing for the construction of two fish farms, 300 meters of irrigation canals, and 500 meters of packed earth irrigation canals, which resulted in a greater yield of agricultural products in the region.
